Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.
The renowned game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
