New information has come to light concerning the shocking deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

A Discovery

A source indicates citing a person close to the family, a therapist scheduled for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after failing to get inside the home. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her promptly called 911. Subsequently, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, including the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently in custody and denied bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source challenged several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

The source also pushed back against circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Rather the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction includes accounts of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Investigation Timeline

Per law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports indicated the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the residence. He was due to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would not be present until Wednesday at the earliest.
